Arrives in Bethlehem in 1626 the Carmelite Order. 1766 began the actual construction works of the Church and Convent of Our Lady of Mount Caramel. The stone facade is the one in Bethlehem and has an emphasis on the high altar and altarpiece Johannine style Portuguese national.
