Located near the docks of Pará, the former mouth of the affluent ofPiri. In 1687, with permission from Portugal to tax the goodsarrived in Belém came the Market Ver-o-peso, where goodswere weighed and taxed. Local moving boats and where we findvarious commodities such as fish and fruit, ornamental and medicinal plants, handicrafts, spices, etc.. It was listed by National Heritage.
